TRC were formed in spring 2003 and shortly after their formation they released their much discussed split demo with fellow North London Hardcore outfit 'Prowler' and instantly became one of the most talked about bands in the London scene.[1]
TRC style draws influences from a number of styles and combining harsh, street-influenced hardcore punk with strict underground UK hip hop. Despite comparisons to similar bands like Krutch, Irate and early E Town Concrete, TRC have been described as having a unique sound strictly their own.[2]
In January 2008 Kerrang Magazine described them as having “Crushing riffs, driving drums and catchy melodies but all with a difference”.
Their delivery has also been described as "far more to-the-point than their contemporaries, with a uniquely arrogant attitude and subject matter".[3]
Their first album was "North West Kings".
The band's 10 track album "Destroy and Rebuild" was considered by Kerrang as one of the most anticipated releases the UK Hardcore scene has produced.
Their next release was 2009 EP The Revolution Continues, which featured two music videos: Bastard and London's Greatest Love Story. This album was released on Thirty Days Of Night record label,[4] which they have since left.
Their This is England tour with Co-Headliners Lower Than Atlantis took TRC to new venues all across the UK over a 30 day period. Inbetween a show on this tour, they guest opened in Manchester for Bring Me The Horizon with Cancer Bats and Tek-One. To go alongside this tour, an iTunes only single called Go Hard Or Go Home was released. Since this tour, they have also featured on the BBC Radio 1 Punk Rock Show and had a 3 page feature in Metal Hammer magazine (November 2010).
On August 8th 2011, they released a new album called Bright Lights. This album featured re-recorded versions of London's Greatest Love Story and Define Cocky, as well as eight new songs.
